Listening is no simple task!

Listening is no simple skill that can be mastered over night. There are many things that need to be taken into consideration.  According to Jeremy Francis who is the CEO of Rhema a training and skills developer and improver. He mentions an important point that by not listening to the speaker it shows little interest and resulting in the relationship between the two to suffer. I think that a way someone can make sure they are listening is by keeping eye contact and avoiding distractions while one is speaking. Also as Jeremy mentioned asking questions back and summarizing what the person is saying in our heads is key. One way I think we could show that we are listening is through taking notes electronically or on paper and by giving advise or feedback when needed.
